as a very young artist Egon von Vietinghoff showed his paintings in the
museums of Zurich (1921) and Winterthur in Switzerland (1935), and in Paris, France, at
the Salon d'Automne (1928, 1932) and the Salon des Tuileries (1931-1933).
But the dominance of the abstract painters in the art market and the
start of World War II prevented the continuance of these promising
beginnings. Vietinghoff was occasionally mentioned in painters' lexicons in
a few short lines and he did not reveive any encouragment from the art world..
